At the back of the resort is a trail that passes through a forest and ends in a private cove. The Lagen trail is one of the best sites for birdwatching, more rewarding during the early morning or towards late afternoon. Lagen Island hosts a high diversity of birds including almost all of the species endemic to Palawan.
At Lagen Island’s Clubhouse is the air-conditioned main dining area. Buffet and a la carte meals are served here. On the lower level are the boutique, game area, library, clinic, and conference room that can accommodate up to 70 persons theater-style and 60 persons classroom-style. The 12 x 25 meter swimming pool, designed with an even depth of 4 feet so as not to touch the roots of trees that lie underneath, is located in front of the clubhouse. Nearby is the poolside bar.

There are Water Cottages and Seaview Rooms built on stilts, Garden Cottages and Family Cottages surrounded by tropical plants, Cliff Cottages nestled in the hillside and Beachside Rooms right in front of the beach. The cottages and rooms at Miniloc Island Resort are built with thatched roofs and furnished with indigenous Filipino materials. The local flavor extends to the cottages and rooms from the wooden floors and walls made of woven bamboo slats (locally called sawali) to furniture hand-made from natural materials such as bamboo and rattan. All cottages and rooms are air-conditioned and have a mini bar, a hair dryer and private toilet, shower facilities and private verandahs that offer views of the cove and the nearby islands. The decor and interiors of these Cottages use native Filipino materials and create an ambiance of being in nature. The balconies are the perfect place for romantic interludes or being at peace with the surroundings. The perfect room for families and groups. Access to EL NIDO is from Manila via chartered flights from Island Tran voyagers Inc. (ITI) the regular aircraft used is a 19 seater Dornier with a flight time of approximately 75 munites. Roundtrip Airfare is PHP 14,000.00 nett per adult and Php 10,500.00 nett per child 2-11 years old, inclusive of fuel surcharge, taxes, terminal fee, use of private passenger lounge and complimentary light snacks and beverages. Luggage allowance is 12 kilograms per person. Including hand carry items. Excess Luggage shall be charge Php 70 nett per kilogram, inclusive of VAT. The daily flight schedules are as follows:
